It all started few weeks back when I received this email.

They called me and my first brief interview was in English, they were interested with my portfolio. Anyway I was required to go for the second interview (technical) in German language. I was so semangat and practiced German day and night. On the day of interview, the whole conversation was supposed to be in German language. But I somehow used English + German. Since a lot of the BI terms is in English, I use English lah.

For e.g Sie können load der transactional data von R/3 extractor 2lis_03_bf zum BW und dan von PSA bei die transformation rules, routine, blablabla. Anyway the 2nd interviewer use English to ask so everything was in English.

I waited for the result, they never did called.

And so, I applied other companies based in germany and swiss. IBM Switzerland reply was, they got limited quota for bringing in foreigner into the country

Anyway, 1 day, the company above who interviewed me called me asking me how strong is my German and asked more information about my German class. Few weeks later, they said I am required to do business presentation to stakeholders in German and said my German need some improvements.

Then this week, they emailed me :-

Start date: Anfang September.
Dauer: 4 Monate.

Waeren Sie interessiert?

Wahlao…. so late only tell me.. Just when I about to give up and plan to consider the offers in Malaysia liao…

Sigh…

I had left the Malaysian Hypermarket.

Working in Giant was so fun, I get experience that none other place can provide.

I now know how the retail business work, how they do their promotions, and how the supply chain in retail business operates.

And I know, how the store POS system do daily postings to the ERP.

Most importantly, I made a lot of new friends. I was so happy, I look forward to lunch and dinner makan² trips.

But now, I am no longer there. I am no longer a Cashier in Giant I had moved on, searching for my goal in life.

Today morning woke up & rushed to work.

My eye feels weird looking at the emails. I thought washing my face should be okay. But situation worsen when I need to debug the ABAP codes T_T

Couldn’t take it anymore, went to see doctor. Complain having double image of everything I see. It’s like watching Avatar 3D in cinema but without wearing the 3D glasses.

Doctor refuse to do anything but instead wrote a recommendation letter to a famous private hospital here. I am sked. The medical bill is very expensive there. I ask whether my situstion is serious, he said my retina could have dislocate WTF. I shit brix @.@

Did not go to the hospital but some eye specialist. They gave me some eye drops that make my pupil grow(center black of ur iris/eye) so big allowing massive light entering my retina making my eye so sensitive towards light. This will last for 4-5 hours so that doctor can examine my retina easier with the enlarged pupil.

Everything seems blur and Bokeh. I have to wear sun glass and cover my head with cloth.

Doc gave me MC (yay) and I’ll need to do some CT scan this week. Suspect brain problem T.T

I was so afraid I’m gonna go blind. From now onwards I will spend maximum only 10 hours in front of computer. I might even leave the IT field, for the sake of my health. What field should I venture into?

I was watching Germany vs Australia match the night before, the game was a Great 4 – 0. Usually when matches like these you can hear the audience cheers, whistles, shouts, claps, etc. especially when there’s a Free Kick, a Foul, a GOAL, or a failed Goal.

But then in the Ger vs Aus match, I couldn’t hear any of those but only the sound ‘Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’

No It’s not a Bee.

I hear it whenever there’s a Goal, a Foul, a Free Kick, an Offside or even when Nothing happens at all, there’s the ‘Bbbbbzzzzzzzzzz’ noise… so annoying. It just sound all the time throughout the entire freaking game even Half time !

It’s called the Vuvuzela

Yes, this is the noise you hear throughout the football match in WorldCup 2010. Why WorldCup 2010 ? Because the game is hosted in South Africa !

The Boogieblast – “Vuvuzela” is a plastic musical instrument which has now become infamous around the world.
It is used mostly at all sporting events or just for a good time.

The Boogieblast, also known as a soccer horn is used by local soccer supporters to try boost their teams performance.

The vuvuzela was introduced to South Africa as a toy for kids to blow, and hardly got off the ground. Selling the vuvuzela proved almost impossible, until the full potential was realized by the local soccer supporters.

The first prototype was from America and changed somewhat for more comfortable blowing and effectiveness. We have researched the history of the Vuvuzela, and follows a trail back to a women’s Chinese basketball team, AMAZING…

The word, VUVUZELA, was first used by a few soccer supporters. There are many claims to what the word really means, but more generally it means to pump up ones performance in a truly South African manner.

Many have tried to lay claim to the vuvuzela and Trademark, of this word, but let the truth be known, it belongs to the supporters.

So annoying u know or not ! Apparently the football players also complain because the noise interrupts their communication within the team on the field, and the commentators are not heard at all. All you can hear is ‘bzzzzzzzzzz or vuuuuuuuuuuu’

It can even make you go crazy and deaf you know ! Stupid football audience.. they should just Shut Up and watch the Match.

I’ve been contemplating between these 2 phones.

I’ve never try these 2 phones before, so I dunno which 1 better.

But 1 thing for sure I need a phone desperately now as my stupid 5800 is rosak dy.

So I started a poll in forum asking Android vs Apple4g. There were flames and arguments between apple-fanboi and nokia-fag and android-tards. They were arguing Apple is for cool outgoing ppl and the guy who uses Apple must be popular among girls and easily get girls. And someone from the Nokia camp posted this:

I hardly do much shopping, my friends know that.

When it comes to clothing or shoes, I find it a waste of time and money because I would prefer spending them on new hardware gadgets and FOODS. So what my friends and family does is, buy wallet or clothes as my birthday gift. Hence you see me with those weird weird or funky clothes, if i were to get a shirt myself it will be either round neck t-shirt or Polo T.

Last week I bought myself a new wallet as my QuickSilver wallet sudah ber-kedut and also coz both my Sisters were buying Lacoste shoe/sneaker and the salesgirl said buy 1 more item got 10% discount. So I x the wallet for the 10% discount.

Since this is my first time getting my own wallet, I was quite fussy and couldn’t decide which to get. I finally drill-down to 2 wallets and I handled them quite ‘rough’ until the salesgirl keep ask me “OK mah?” So how I tested was, insert ALL my cards on the new wallet and put in my pocket to see got bulk or not. Then do the same on another wallet (I can see the wallet a bit kedut liao) but I dont care la since I thought demo unit sure for us to test ma.

Finally I decided to get the smaller one (the reason for being indecisive was the price tag is (#$*!)(@#* and price difference between the bigger 1 and smaller 1 is quite near)

I ask the salesgirl for new stock. She said don’t have coz there’s only 1 such wallet here. Meaning those 9 wallets in the display shelves are the ONLY units.

My sister said “Good lah, unique mah”.

Wahlao… imagine this wallet I buy, sure got a lot ppl tested before me and imagine they have sweaty palms, smelly pocket, and treat the wallet so roughly. My wallet also got kedut but I dunno whether it’s damage done by me, should’ve checked the condition of the wallet before I even tested it.

I had no choice but to just buy it loh. Like my sis said, it’s Unique mah. I didn’t know it’s all one of its kind, that explains why the salesgirl keep interrupt my ‘demo’ just now.

Today I was helping this Manager with her reports. She is Happy. She gave me something as a show of gratitude.

I am happy liao. If only DKSH user were appreciative enough, I’d be drown in Ferero Rochers already.

Roll Off Day

Anyway, today was D team’s last day and they’re now officially rolled off. It is normal for consultants to come and leave, but this time I felt weird; It was like being dumped and I feel kinda lonely.

I can imagine how boring it will be in the office, and I guess I’ll be demotivated for quite some time. Everyday used to be so busy with all those issues, full loads, remodelling, aggregates, re-architecture, transports, blablabla… all sorts of discussion happening around the Project Room and especially the BI team (5 ppl) But tomorrow onwards, it’ll be only 2 person left in the team.

I’ve never felt like this before. Maybe because all these while I’m the person who leaves the client site, my roll off day was very fun and I was looking forward to my new project or back to Office. Now I finally understand how does it feel like to be the person who were left behind. Maybe because this time, I’m left to do the shits alone while the rest can happily leave this place

2 Weeks later, I will be handling all SAP BI stuff alone for a month. Because the permanent staff all either holiday or maternity. Sigh man, I still got 5 months to go…. so long.

Btw, I really learnt a lot from these guys. From tomorrow onward I’ll be the only Consultant here liao :-s

I better start getting organized myself, because nobody is gonna keep track of me and keep me organized liao.
